Global Industrie 2026: Optikan at the forefront of industrial innovation

From March 30 to April 2, 2026, Global Industrie took place at Paris Nord Villepinte, bringing together the leading professionals from across the industrial sector. A true showcase of French industry, this event gathers each year the companies and experts shaping the industry of tomorrow.

On this occasion, Optikan participated to present its non-destructive material inspection solutions through demonstrations showcasing its latest innovations and their industrial applications.

This participation provided an opportunity to reinforce Optikan’s position among the innovative players in industrial inspection. It also enabled the company to establish new connections with professionals from a wide range of industries who share a common objective: ensuring the quality and integrity of their production processes.

Global Industrie has become one of Europe’s leading industrial events, bringing together the companies, experts, and decision-makers shaping the future of industry. The exhibition serves as a platform for discussing some of the sector’s most pressing challenges and opportunities, including industrial competitiveness, technological transformation, innovation, and the development of future talent.

Over four days, the event hosted a rich program of conferences, demonstrations, and discussions involving key stakeholders from across the industrial landscape. Throughout these exchanges, a common vision emerged: accelerating innovation, strengthening investment in French industry, and placing skills development and youth engagement at the heart of the sector’s future.

The 2026 edition once again highlighted the dynamism of an industry undergoing rapid transformation. By bringing together startups, industrial leaders, researchers, and public institutions under one roof, Global Industrie reinforced its role as a catalyst for collaboration and industrial progress.

Influential Voices and Industry Perspectives

Several high-profile speakers contributed to the event’s momentum and underscored the strategic importance of industry for France and Europe. Among them were Roland Lescure, Minister of the Economy, Finance and Industrial Sovereignty; Sébastien Martin, Minister Delegate for Industry; Stéphane Séjourné, Executive Vice-President for Prosperity and Industrial Strategy at the European Commission; and Nicolas Dufourcq, Chief Executive Officer of Bpifrance and President of Global Industrie.

Their interventions highlighted the need to support industrial innovation, strengthen competitiveness, and accelerate the transformation of the sector in response to global challenges. Together, they reflected a strong commitment to ensuring the long-term resilience and growth of French industry.

One of the more unexpected yet widely appreciated moments of the exhibition was the participation of content creator Inoxtag, who delivered a talk entitled « A Different Perspective on Youth, Entrepreneurship and Industry. » His presence generated considerable interest among attendees and helped attract a younger audience to the event. By engaging directly with exhibitors and visitors throughout the exhibition halls, he embodied the show’s ambition to bridge the gap between industry and the next generation.

These contributions reinforced one of the key messages of Global Industrie: beyond technology and innovation, the future of industry depends on people. Encouraging dialogue between generations, promoting industrial careers, and facilitating the transfer of knowledge remain essential priorities for building the industry of tomorrow.

Optikan Solutions showcased

Optikan develops and designs high-quality millimeter-wave imaging systems for both researchers and industrial users. These solutions are designed to go beyond traditional laboratory environments, with the goal of improving material characterization and providing new inspection capabilities tailored to industrial applications.

During the exhibition, Optikan conducted live demonstrations across its entire product range, showcasing the performance and versatility of its technologies:

uSkan scanner haute cadence

uSkan, High-Speed Imaging System
An ultra-fast millimeter-wave imaging system integrating uFrame radar arrays, an exclusive patented technology developed by Optikan. Comprising a large number of radar pixels operating at 120 GHz and directly integrated onto a dedicated electronic board, with no moving parts or III-V components, uSkan is ideally suited to high-speed industrial environments while ensuring high-quality measurements.

uSense, Laboratory Imaging Solution
The all-in-one 3D submillimeter-wave imaging system based on raster scanning, designed for scientific applications. Highly versatile, it enables the detection of cracks, delamination, and foreign objects, while also providing permittivity and refractive index characterization.

uSense Lite, Handheld Inspection Device
The portable version of the uSense platform, designed for on-site inspections. Compatible with all dielectric material, including plaster, wood, paper, cardboard, ceramics, polymers, and composites

 uCore, Standalone Sensor Module
A standalone version of the sensors featured in the uSense and uSense Lite product lines. Developed for OEM integrators seeking to enhance their existing non-destructive testing solutions while maintaining a low acquisition cost.

uFrame, Radar Array Module
A standalone version of the radar sensors used in the uSkan product line. Designed for OEM applications, it can perform measurements at twelve distinct positions at up to 3,000 Hz while maintaining compacity and low acquisition cost.

Arval, Software Suite
A software platform that transforms data acquired by Optikan systems into actionable diagnostics within seconds through automated feature extraction. Compatible with uSense, uSense Lite, and uSkan systems, Arval is currently available in an Alpha version for pilot users.

The ongoing development and continuous improvement of these systems attracted considerable interest from visitors, who had the opportunity to observe live demonstrations showcasing the inspection capabilities and practical industrial applications of each solution.

Meetings and Exchanges

Beyond the demonstrations, the exhibition provided valuable networking opportunities. Numerous visitors stopped by the Optikan booth to discover the product range and engage with our team. The event also offered the chance to reconnect with close collaborators and partners, including Frédéric Taillade, expert researcher at EDF, and Monica De Virgiliis, international executive and mentor within the CLD Milano program.

These interactions reflect the dynamic environment in which Optikan operates, driven by strong partnerships and meaningful exchanges with stakeholders across a broad spectrum of fields, from applied research to international innovation networks.

Looking Ahead

Global Industrie 2026 proved to be a highly rewarding event for Optikan, providing valuable opportunities for networking, visibility, and industry engagement. The presentation of our complete product portfolio, live demonstrations, and discussions with strategic partners highlighted the relevance of our solutions within today’s industrial landscape.

We leave this event with new perspectives and a renewed conviction that millimeter-wave non-destructive inspection has a vital role to play in addressing the industrial challenges of tomorrow.

We look forward to the next edition.
